Nissan Sunny has been with us in its same shape for quite a time now. Well now it is time for a facelift for the sedan. Nissan has been busy recently launching Datsun Go and developing other future Datsun vehicles. Nissan nearly forgot about Sunny, but we expect Nissan to launch the new face lifted Sunny sedan soon, in July of 2014.
New Nissan Sunny (named Versa internationally) has been already showcased in New York Auto Show. The car will get Nissan's new trademark signs like the chrome grille and boomerang shaped headlamps. the car looks better in the rear too with new tail lamps with really merge with the design. New Sunny will also get new 15 inch alloy wheels too. The exterior design changes are good and it makes new Sunny surely more stylish than the old one. There is nothing odd or peculiar about the design, everything flows well.
New Nissan Sunny will get a modern treatment in the interiors too. the sedan will get some satin and chrome treatments in the cabin. There may be additional features like Nissan navigation system and SL connect interference to sync with your phone n high end version.
Sadly there won't be any changes under the hood, Sunny still will be powered by the 1.5 l petrol engine making 99 HP power in 134 Nm torque and 1.5 l diesel producing 85 HP power in 200 Nm torque which are still inadequate for a C class sedan.
So we can expect the new face lifted Sunny in July. The new style treatment improves the cars looks but not its performance.
