Celerio, the revolutionary clutchless car from Maruthi to launch soon

Front view of Celerio
This is the big news in car market. Maruthi is back on the game with a new car, not just a new car but also with a new advanced technology. A clutch less semi automatic gear system at an affordable price. Celerio is launched but cluthless Celerio is priced at Rs 4.7 lakhs
Maruthi has announced that they will fit this semi automatic gear system on their  upcoming launch Celerio. After the dis-continual of Estilo Maruthi certainly needed a new car to take its place and that is where Celerio stands in the 5 lakhs segment.

Celerio has certainly got better looks than the alto 800 and Wagon r. It has a new stylish face and some fluidity in its profile. The rear has a vivid stance and you can feel the car's extra height. We can conclude that Celerio has a great exterior design which is enough for a family car.

The interiors of the car area lot more better than its cousins. It looks more elegant and premium with curvy modern dashboard and colours. The front seats are comfortable and are designed lie sports seats. The rear seats lack adjustable headrests and looks like it lacks a bit thigh support too, the rest is okay. In this car you certainly get more space and headroom than the alto which is very crappy at the rear. The car offers comfortable journey for four passengers.

The biggest change in Celerio is the new K10 B engine and the semi automatic clutch less transmission. The K10 B engine is an updated version of the K10 engine used in Wagon r and Astar. This engine delivers 67 PS of power and 9.1 kgm of torque. The engine delivers more torque on the wheels than the older version. (Torque means Rotational force provided on the wheels of the car). This makes the car more responsive than before, just press the clutch and bang the car goes. This makes the car easy to drive in city. But high speeds the response is not good enough for someone who is a fan of speed. The car races to 100km/h just under 15 seconds which makes it fast indeed. Although not as fast as Brio.

Now lets ride the clutch less model. The semi automatic transmission used in Celerio is more advanced than ordinary automatic transmission used of i10 and Brio. Actually it is seen on luxury cars like BMW E60. This system uses an electronic controlled clutch unit instead of a torque converter which means it is more responsible than the conventional automatic transmission. The gear shifts automatically in auto mode bit if you wish you can ride in manual mode when you move the lever backward towards + sign to change into a higher great and forward towards the - sign to change into a lower gear just like in a manual.
So this transmission is a hybrid with combined ease of use of an automatic and punch of a manual. It is better to use automatic mode in city and manual mode when speeding through highways. For more information about this transmission click here. Maruthi claims mileage figures of 23.2 km/l for manual and 22.1km/l for semi automatic model. This makes Celerio most efficient automatic car currently on the market.

Maruthi will showcase Celerio at the auto expo currently going on in Delhi, and the car is officially launched by Maruthi on 7th February 2014 . The prices will be roughly from 4.0 to 5.1 lakhs. So people who wish to have it should research a bit about the semi automatic transmission. Well bookings are open and you can book for a test drive in maruthi's website.

We will I don't know how did Maruthi managed to implant this advanced gear system on a 5 lakh car and control the set up cars. Guys we have a bit of suspicion about this transmission and its maintenance. So it is good think well before going for the clutch-less model of Celerio. We recommend Celerio as a good family car for India. So people who are going for i10 Grand should also check this car out too.
