Nissan Terrano, launch specs and price

Renault Duster's twin sister Nissan Terrano has been officially launched in India. The Terrano has been restyled and has been given a complete Nissan family looks. Terrano looks quite trendy and majestic than its sister Renault Duster. The wing shaped front nose tell that this SUV can take on anything. The side profile looks similar to Duster. At the rear you can see new tailgate and tail-lamps.

This SUV can be clearly differentiated from Duster with plenty of changes on the outside. But cabin gets only subtle changes. The beige and grey colour combination reminds luxury. The SUV gets a new steering wheel similar to that of Micra. The audio system is not touch screen like in new Toyota Innova but it supports Cd's and USB. The cabin is as spacious and duster.

The major defect with in the cabin is stupid placement of controls for side view mirrors under the handbrake. So one needs to stop the car and pull the handbrake just to adjust the side view mirrors.

The engine and suspension system is same as that of Duster which has very good handling and enough performance too. A 105 HP petrol engine and two diesel engines with 84 HP and 108 Hp are available.

Nissan Terrano is priced from 9.6 lakhs to to 12.16 lakhs which is almost 60000 greater than that of Renault Duster. Teranno is available in three trims for all engine options.

So Terrano is a bit pricier than Duster for its stylish looks on the outside. So which one do you prefer style or price?

Ford Ecosport is the current best seller in the SUV market with selling 6000 cars per month. Terrano will have to face tough competition from Renault Duster too which was struck hard by Ecosport.
