BMW X1 Facelift to heal the scars made by Audi Q3

BMW has been hit hard by Audi Q3 and Mercedes B class as they have seized half of BMW X1's sales. Audi Q3 launched lasted year posed serious threat to BMW X1. Audi is now the most successful Luxury Car maker of India. The Q3 has been the backbone of Audi's success.

BMW realized the importance of the segment and hopes to boost up sales with the new face lifted X1.

• Same Engine
• Same Pricing

Audi Q3 ate up most off BMW X1s share in Entry level Luxury SUV market. Audi Q3 although 4 lakhs expensive than X1 offers a better package. It is more practical and offers Audi all wheel drive option. With the new X BMW expects to take back the past Glory. The new X1 will get some changes to the front and rear bumper. The interiors will also get some tweaks as well.

The Mercedes Benz B class cheapest Mercedes on India is a large hatchback but it seems like a more sensible option than BMW X1.The B class is more practical and affordable than X1 even if it is not an SUV.XI must face further competition from from the upcoming Volvo V40 cross country which will be priced between 25 and 30 lakhs.

The Question is that will the minor face lift be enough for X1 to stand on ground again. I think X1 requires a major upgrade to heal the scars. What is your opinion?Please let me know them through comments.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Engine Confusion

Hyundai is in a hypnotic state in choosing the engine option for the 2014 genesis coupe.Hyundai can't choose between the new V8 or the current turbocharged six cylinder engine for the genesis coupe.The problem with the V8 is that it is too large to install on the Genesis Coupe and Hyundai will have two tweak the design very much.

There are plenty of gossips about transmission for Hyundai Genesis Sedan as well.Hyundai is not perfect in manual transmission they are not slick and notchy as you like it to be.So Hyundai will come up with a perfect new age manual on the new Genesis Coupe.

Hyundai said that HCD-14 is not the new genesis coupe.We have said that earlier in our post about HCD -14 concept.It is just a concept with Hyundai new design philosophy.Hyundai said they will reveal a new luxury sedan at 2014  Detroit motor show.

What engine suits the best on new Genesis Coupe? V8 or current engine.

Tata nano diesel test mule spy images and launch date

Tata nano Diesel test mule spotted With proofs.

Tata nano test mule spotted again this month.Two weeks above we showed you spy shots of Tata nano 2013. But no we spotted an upgraded version of 2013 nano.

We suggest this could be the 2014 diesel version of nano. The front nose is more bigger for occupying a bigger engine.We also heard some noise from this engine which was not present on the test mule spotted yesterday.

The bumper design is changed which may be due to the larger diesel engine.Numerous equipments have been fitted on to this test mule as it has a new engine. The engine sound comes from the front of the car.The older nano had engine fitted on the rear.

Tata will launch the nano diesel on late 2013 or early 2014.The diesel nano will be powered by an 800cc 2 cylinder common rail diesel motor.It is expected to give a supreme fuel efficiency of 35km/l which might be the highest fuel efficiency figures for a car worldwide.The diesel nano will be priced under 3 lakhs making it the cheapest diesel car in the world.

Meanwhile Tata will launch a CNG kit for nano to boost its current sales.When the diesel variant is launched.It will sell hand in hand with the petrol variant and the CNG variant.

Tata is facing tremendous loss on the nano project.The nano did not create a quake as expected.Tata's plant in Sanand Gujarat is only producing 150000 Nanos annually while i has the maximum capacity of 250000.If the diesel variant too fails Tata may have to stop nanoing.

Hyundai Palnning a new car in Chinese Market

Hyundai has found a strong potential between Elantra and Sonata in Chinese market.They found there is  scope for a new car between them.Hyundai coded this car CF.

Sohu car(Chinese car scoop site) has caught some spy shots of Hyundai CF test driving.The car has a smiling front grille similar to Sonata.This car will shorten the price gap between Elantra and Sonata.We have also spotted a car ideal to CF in newspapers of Malaysia described as the refreshed Sonata

Chinese top end Elantra has a price of 1,49,800 yang while the base Sonata comes at 1,66,900 yang(12.3 and 14.2 lakhs of Indian rupee respectively). There is a chance for buyers who will buy a car slotted between them.Hyundai will reveal the CF at Shanghai Motor Show in April.

The CF will powered by a 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine or the 1.8 naturally aspirated petrol engine which may make max power of 160 HP.

In India there is a wider price gap between Elantra and Sonata, but we cant expect CF by at least 2020.In India luxury car market is only successful to Audi, BMW and Mercedes.There is no potential for new car between Elantra and Sonata in India.
