Its been few days since the launch of Hyundai Xcent. The latest entrant in the sub 4 meter sedan group. Xcent is lauched as replacement for old Hyundai Accent and it is actually the sedan model of Grand i10. Xcent's main rivals will be Honda Amaze and Swift Dzire. So can this semi sedan deliver the experience of a complete sedan? Wait and see.

Hyundai i20 3 door version spotted in India

 

Well we are totally in a perplexed situation. A Hyundai i20 with just three doors was spotted in Pune in India. Where did it come from? Hyundai has a 3-door variant of i20 selling international. The 3 door i20 is famous in Europe as Europeans love hot hatchbacks and have different cars for different purposes. A compact hatchback for daily duties and a large sedan or SUV more family outings.

Hi, Here we have got some more spy shots of the 2014 Hyundai i10 test driving in UK in harsh winery weather. The car was dressed in camouflage and we still were not able to find the changes in the design. The new Hyundai i10 will be launched globally including US and other developed markets as a reply to Volkswagens cheap car Up.

Everyone is expecting the new 3rd generation Santa Fe in India by 2013. Well we have got some spy shots of the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe test driving in India. The 2013 Santa Fe was unveils globally at the 2012 New York motor show. The new Santa Fe has some major changes to the skin.

Its time for celebration inside Hyundai. Hyundai's bread and butter car i10 has crossed 1 million sales. According to a rough estimate from Hyundai now there are 12 lakh happy i10 owners worldwide.

So to pump the celebration Hyundai has launched a special edition of their beloved i10 called the i-tech 10. This special edition spices up the i10 even more. it has got whole new array of exciting features.

The main features are:

Red treatment for some parts of dashboard, AC vents and door trims.

New seat upholstery with red and beige color combination
Reversing Camera display integrated to the rear view mirrors
Special body graphics with writing i-tech 10
Steering mounted blue-tooth controls

This special edition is only available for the Era 1.1 and Magna 1.1 variants. Also this edition is variable in only two body colors. Crystal White and Garnet Red.

There is also an other side to the story. Why didn't Hyundai launch special edition when the costumers reached 10 lakhs about a year ago. We have scooped out that the special edition is some tactics to empty the stocks and parts of the existing i10 and cleaning up for the arrival of the new i10.

Hyundai HB20 is the Brazilian version of the i20 which is restyled to adapt Brazilian conditions. The HB 20 runs on Ethanol and diesel in Brazil.

Hyundai new i*35/Tucson spied testdriving in Germany

Hyundai i*35 was launched back in 2009. It is also known as the new Tucson in some areas. The car was designed in Hyundai s fluidity design philosophy was was a big hit.

The i*35 was definitely striking and muscular to look. The Cross over has sleek and muscular characteristics that all-together made it an amazing car. But now it is 2013 four years after its launch.

The rivals are now styled much aggressively than before. The i*35 s major threat is of course its sister sibling the KIA Sportage. The KIA Sportage is bulit on the same platform with the i*35 and shares some mechanicals too with the i*35 but its styling far more striking and edgy.

So the time has come to upgrade the four years old car. Hyundai is in the last stages of developing the new much more stylish i*35. We got some spy pictures of this car test driving near Hyundai plant n Germany.

The test mule was covered in spy cloths all around. We expect some massive changes to the sheet and fluidic lines as well. The headlights and fog lamps look to be new. The car also gets a new grille as well which is shaped in round rectangle way.

We don't know much about the changes made to the interior. May be this test mule is in early stage. We expect the new i*35 to have a 1.6 l GDI engine from the Veloster Turbo on Europe and the more powerful 2.0 and 2.24 l GDI engines on the US market.

There is chance for the new i*35/Tucson to launch in India in 2016. Hyundai currently has no cross overs to compete with the king of the segment Toyota For-tuner As Hyundai Santa FE is cheaply priced Hyundai will launch the Tucson in India in the price bracket 16 to 20 lakhs.

New i10 will sell along with old i10

Hyundai new i10 will be in India soon. But Hyundai will continue selling the current i10 in the market. The new i10 will be priced right between i10 and i20. Hyundai will place the new i10 sedan as an ideal rival to the flawless king Suzuki Swift. The current i10 will be priced cheaper than the new i10 and compete with Maruthi Wagonr and others on the bottom B segment.

The new i10 will directly tackle Suzuki Swift with its price tag and mechanicals. It will be cheaper than i20, who is priced too steep on the Premium car market. The new i10 will sell under the name i*10 or i15. The new i10 will be available in two engine options, the new 1.1 l diesel, and the i.2 l Kappa3 petrol engine. The 1.1 l diesel engine is expected to give 75 PS of power and 150 NM of torque. The Kappa3 engine will be more powerful than the current Kappa2 which is likely to produce 85 HP of power and 115 NM of torque to keep up with swift.

The old i10 will get a slight makeover to keep p with the time. But engine and other stuff will not be changed. The current gen i10 may get a new 1.0 l petrol engine which will replace the 1.1 l IRDE to retain more mileage. However no diesel engine will be there for the current i10 as the government has announced that they will hike diesel prices step by step.

It is a good plan by Hyundai for not replacing the current gen i10. The current i10 still looks fresh in its skin. It is the most selling car for Hyundai. It sells about 8000 units per month. So pricing the current i10 low will help the company to get better hold of the lower B segment(that means beat Wagonr).
Similar s tragedies have been adopted by other car makers as well. A few examples are the new Swift Dzire and the Swift Dzire tourer, New Ford Fiesta and the Ford Fiesta Classic.

So it is wise not to replace a car which has decent sales with a new one. Let them both run on the road. Wise move by Hyundai, isn't it?

Hyundai is worlds most famous car maker isn't it. Hyundai makes different varieties of cars for different markets in the world. But you wont believe what Ia going to say next.

Hyundai has started off in Android market with the latest T7 smart tablet. The T7 is not just a car app, it is a complete smart android tablet. Very funny isn,t it. What is Hyundai actually planning to do by introducing a tablet at android market pretty much far of its stables? Who knows?

Any way the T7 tablet is more car friendly. You can unlock and lock cars with it and it is fully connectible to a cars infotainment system and music system. You can buy a Hyundai T7 from the market by spending RS 10000 or $166. Pretty cheap fr a smart phone right!

T7 has a Samsung Exynos 4412 CPU which is the same one that powers Galaxy S3. The Hyundai T7 also comes with 1280 * 800 PX resolution. A 1 GB ram dual cameras, Wi-Fi port, blue tooth, G-sensor GPS and a micro HDMi port.

T7 has only 8GB of storage which cannot be expanded. The life of the 300 Mah battery would be just three days.

But Hyundai is just an entrant in the android market. People may thinking of a car manufacturers Smart tablet a bit too foolish. What is Hyundai planning in phone business. Have they gone crazy? No way. Hyundai always has some surprises inside them.

New Hyundai Sonata in 2014

Hyundai said that they have completed the styling of new Sonata. it will feature a new fluidic evolved design.

The next gen Sonata will arrive at 2014. It will have a stop start feature and a new CVT gearbox.These two features will help the Sonata attain more mileage. The new Sonata will be launched in USA first and then in India. Hyundai Sonata has not been very successful in Indian market. The old Honda Accord and the feature less Toyota Camry has dethroned the Sonata.


 The new Sonata is going to have some new features as well. It may get the features Hyundai displayed us CES this year. They new Sonata will have mble phone unlocking locks  and a new infotainment system. For More info about it click here.

The new Sonata will come up with a diesel engine on Indian market. Hyundai will use the Turbocharged 1.8 l diesel on Elantra with a slight increase in power.

Sonata is the cheapest luxury sedan on Indian market and it also has the highest power figures with 200 HP. But Sonata has suspension problems and a saggy engine.

We can expect Hyundai to solve all those issue in the new Sonata. Other wise there is no use.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe Engine Confusion

Hyundai is in a hypnotic state in choosing the engine option for the 2014 genesis coupe.Hyundai can't choose between the new V8 or the current turbocharged six cylinder engine for the genesis coupe.The problem with the V8 is that it is too large to install on the Genesis Coupe and Hyundai will have two tweak the design very much.

There are plenty of gossips about transmission for Hyundai Genesis Sedan as well.Hyundai is not perfect in manual transmission they are not slick and notchy as you like it to be.So Hyundai will come up with a perfect new age manual on the new Genesis Coupe.

Hyundai said that HCD-14 is not the new genesis coupe.We have said that earlier in our post about HCD -14 concept.It is just a concept with Hyundai new design philosophy.Hyundai said they will reveal a new luxury sedan at 2014  Detroit motor show.

What engine suits the best on new Genesis Coupe? V8 or current engine.

Hyundai Palnning a new car in Chinese Market

Hyundai has found a strong potential between Elantra and Sonata in Chinese market.They found there is  scope for a new car between them.Hyundai coded this car CF.

Hyundai CF spied in China

Sohu car(Chinese car scoop site) has caught some spy shots of Hyundai CF test driving.The car has a smiling front grille similar to Sonata.This car will shorten the price gap between Elantra and Sonata.We have also spotted a car ideal to CF in newspapers of Malaysia described as the refreshed Sonata

Chinese top end Elantra has a price of 1,49,800 yang while the base Sonata comes at 1,66,900 yang(12.3 and 14.2 lakhs of Indian rupee respectively). There is a chance for buyers who will buy a car slotted between them.Hyundai will reveal the CF at Shanghai Motor Show in April.

The CF will powered by a 1.6 turbocharged petrol engine or the 1.8 naturally aspirated petrol engine which may make max power of 160 HP.

In India there is a wider price gap between Elantra and Sonata, but we cant expect CF by at least 2020.In India luxury car market is only successful to Audi, BMW and Mercedes.There is no potential for new car between Elantra and Sonata in India.
