Tata Zest Sedan, Design Innovation for Tata

Tata has recently showcased the Zest sedan which is up for launch in June 2014. Zest is absolutely a design innovation from Tata. It looks similar to Bolt hatchback, but its styling is way better than that of Indica Manza and others. Tata has changed from their old school square designing to a much more fluid model. We expect future cars to be in this design as well.

Tata nano is in tremendous sales crisis now. The car just sold about 1503 units in February 2013 compared to 9259 units in February 2012. Tata Nano is in a desperate situation. We have already announced that Tata is planning for a face-lift on Nano.

Tata working on a new sub 4m sedan

Indian people prefers a spacious and luxurious sedan over a sporty premium hatchback. Among sedan sub 4m sedans are very famous as they car far more cheap and attract less duties. Maruthi Suzuki as launched the new Swift Ire as a sub 4m sedan, and the car became a huge success despite of a stubbed awkward boot attachment, Honda Amaze and Mahindra Verito sub 4m sedans are expect soon on April.

2013 Tata nano launch in June with more features

Tata Nano is in deep trouble right now. January sales of Nano has gone down to 1533 units per month. A massive 7.3% decrease than sales in December. Tata Nano is India s cheapest car and has good practicality. But the Indians keep on teasing it as bug or Auto rickshaw.

Tata Motors desperately needs some passenger cars to be alive. Tata recent launches like Indica D90 wasn't a shocker in the market. Most of the Tata cars like Vista and Indica are getting really old. They are build on a 10 year old platform with bellow 21 st century designing.

nano diesel images, caught testing in Pune

nano diesel was caught again testing in Pune. This time the test mule caught was a black colored one. You have to look really carefully to notice the changes.

This test mule seems to be the latest version. It has far more changes than the last test mule spotted. The front and rear bumper has been covered which means they are tweaked for the diesel engine. The rear end tires are more larger ones which will help to support the weight of diesel engine and for better control on higher speeds. The boot is conventional type like in other hatches which can be opened and closed.

Look at the new interiors and the large air damp

The  spied Tata Nano gets a new wider air damp at the rear which clearly suggest the large diesel engine on board. We expect the diesel engine to be an 800cc common rail. The max power  and torque will be roughly 40 HP and 90 Nm.

The interiors of the spied Nano has some changes as well. The dashboard is finished in beige and the air vents have metal finishes.

Tata better launch the diesel Nano soon. The sales of Nano was the lowest in January 2013 with just 1500 units sold. Tata s plant in Gujarat is idle due to the low sales of Nano. The diesel prices were hiked but the demand for diesel has not decreased.

The Nano diesel will the diesel in Indian Car market and that will definitely boost Nano sales. This test mules suggest that Nano diesel is almost complete and will be launched in the end of this year

This is not a big joke. Tata is planning to launch a sedan version of the nano in India. The nano sedan will use a 1 l engine instead for the current 0.6 l engine. Tata have to convert nano into a sedan and stiffen its chassis to support the big 1 l engine.

Tata is loved by Indians for practicality and shear amount of space. Now Tata has came up with an unexpected twist in its tactics. Tata has launched what we could say a sports hatchback. The Indica Vista D90 with Raw 90 HP of power which is as same as Maruthi SX4 and Tata Manza. Tata has been lacking a premium hatchback and now that problem is solved. But the real question is whether the 90 HP of power is just on paper only or true? Can it beat the swift in terms of sportiness.

Tata motors revealed the Indica D90 Extreme concept today. The car is very sporty to look at and is absolutely a tempter. The Indica D90 Xtreme is a sporty version of the current D90. The car has more power and precise handling than theD90. The yellow paint job really merges well with the sportiness.

D90 is officially launched wish to buy it?

Tata has got no premium hatchbacks in its line up. Tata only has India Ev2 and Indica Vista which are not having a good time in the market. Low price and good cars is the Tata slogan in Indian market. So Tata is planning to launch a new version of Indica Vista variant.

Tata Indica Vista D90

The new car will be called Indica Vista D90. The D90 means it uses the 1.3 l Quardra jet diesel of Indigo Manza.

Tata Motors will launch Indica Vista D90 on January 28 th at Buddh International Circuit. Ranjit Yadav president of Passenger Vehicles Unit of Tata Motors will addressee the event.

The new 1.3 l Quadra jet engine produces a healthy 88 HP of power and 200Nm of torque instead for the 75 HP and 190 Nm of torque on the regular Vista. The Vista D90 gets Variable Geometry Turbo technology to make the paper power figures true while driving.

The variable Geometry Turbo changes AR ratio constantly according to the conditions. The Turbo will have a low ratio at lower speeds and a high ratio at higher speeds. This system helps to reduce lag helps the car to attain more efficiency. So all in all Vista will be more drivable with VGT installed in it.

The Vista D90 has some changes to the interior as well. The meter console has been repositioned behind the steering wheel which makes it easy to read and driver friendly. The meter console was placed on the center at other Vista models .Tata Vista D90 gets a driver information display as well. This feature shows instantaneous mileage, outside ambient temperature, average mileage, digital clock and distance to empty.

The exterior of Vista D90 get a 90 badge at the rear. The roof will be painted black to distinguish it from other Vista siblings. There are no changes to the headlamps or the grille. Tata should have tweaked the headlamps and grille of the Vista D90 to look more sporty. Shouldn,t they?

The D90 will be offered on two variants VX and ZX. The VX model will be equipped with necessary safety features like ABS and EBD at 6 lakhs of ex showroom price. The ZX model gets additional features like Airbags and alloy wheels and is priced 6.5 lakhs .

Tata will launch a ZX+ model of Vista D90 which is equipped with all the features of the new Manza like Automatic Climate control, Blue tooth etc with a price tag of 7 lakhs. We can ZX+ varient on our roads at the end of 2013.

Tata nano test mule spotted again this month.Two weeks above we showed you spy shots of Tata nano 2013. But no we spotted an upgraded version of 2013 nano.

We suggest this could be the 2014 diesel version of nano. The front nose is more bigger for occupying a bigger engine.We also heard some noise from this engine which was not present on the test mule spotted yesterday.

The bumper design is changed which may be due to the larger diesel engine.Numerous equipments have been fitted on to this test mule as it has a new engine. The engine sound comes from the front of the car.The older nano had engine fitted on the rear.

Tata will launch the nano diesel on late 2013 or early 2014.The diesel nano will be powered by an 800cc 2 cylinder common rail diesel motor.It is expected to give a supreme fuel efficiency of 35km/l which might be the highest fuel efficiency figures for a car worldwide.The diesel nano will be priced under 3 lakhs making it the cheapest diesel car in the world.

Meanwhile Tata will launch a CNG kit for nano to boost its current sales.When the diesel variant is launched.It will sell hand in hand with the petrol variant and the CNG variant.

Tata is facing tremendous loss on the nano project.The nano did not create a quake as expected.Tata's plant in Sanand Gujarat is only producing 150000 Nanos annually while i has the maximum capacity of 250000.If the diesel variant too fails Tata may have to stop nanoing.
