Inspired by the success of Renault Duster and Ford Eco sport Toyota is introducing their first cross over in India Toyota Etios cross. We expect Toyota to launch Etios Cross on July 2014. Bookings are now open and you can book Etios Cross from Toyota's website.
Etios Cross gets some rugged treatment in the exterior with plastic cladding throughout the bottom. The cross over gets chrome grill guards, skid plates at sides and roof rails to enhance the rugged look. The diamond cut 15 inch alloy wheels crates an aggressive stance for the cross over. The cross over is biiger than the hatch back Liva in terms of height length and width. Ground clearance is 170 mm which is good for a cross over.
The interiors are expected to be the same as that of Etios with a new trim and seat fabric. Toyota has announced a new 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and remote access on Etios Cross.
Etios cross will be powered by to petrol engines and one diesel engine. The 1.5 l DOHC petrol engine will have max power 90 PS at 5600rpm. The 1.2 l DOHC petrol engine will have max power 80 PS at 5600 rpm. The 1.4 l diesel engine will produce 68 PS at 6800 rpm. The power figures of the diesel looks a bit disappointing.
