Ford has kept on post ponding the launch of Ecosport in India. We reported earlier that Ecosport will be launched on March but know it seems like Ford has put off the launch to May.
Anyway China got Ecosport.Ford is expecting to get right back on the game in China with the Ecosport as Ford was shattered by Volkswagen and Chevrolet in the recent years. The Chinese Ecosport gets two engine options. The 1.5 l petrol from the Fiesta and the new 1.0 l Ecosport. The 1.5l produces max power of 107 bhp and max torque of 17 kgm. The Ecoboost will probably have 120 HP of power and will be a it pricy. Ford has offered manual an automatic options on the 1.5l petrol, but the Ecoboost only has a manual transmission.
The price tag is a bit steep as the base version is priced 8.3 lakhs(94800 Yuan) and the top end version is priced at 11.2 lakhs(127800 Yuan).

As per the latest news, Ford ecosport has been launched in India as well. And, this is true news that there are some specification which is not similar to Chinese version. Renault duster will be shattered by the maker of ford so that this is assumption that they will have acquired the ambiance of the market.
