Ssangyong Rodius Turisumo revealled at Geneva

Hey, look at Ssangyong Rodius Turisumo. This MPV looks just perfect for a large Indian family isn't it. This new version of Rodius has been officially revealed at Geneva. Mahindra is thinking of making this MPV for India soon.

This car is an ultimate people carrier. It can occupy 7 adults with maximum comfort, or more with other seating layouts offered. We have recently said that Mahindra is planning to launch the new version of the Ssangyong Rodius in India. So far they have launched Ssangyong Rexton and Korando is awaiting launch.

The old Rodius was pretty ugly to look at. The new car showcased in Geneva is much better to look, but we can't say it is an attractive car. The MPV has some uniqueness to its side with wide glass area and absence of B pillar. The Rodius Turisumo has 3000 mm of wheel base and has 3 rows of seats. The third row can be removed if necessary. The second row can be converted into tea tables too, a good picnic car isn't it?

The Rodius Turisumo is powered by a 2.0 l turbo e-XDi diesel engine which produces 155 HP of power and 360 Nm of torque which is enough to pull the long van. You can opt between a 6-speed manual or Mercedes sourced 5-speed automatic too.

The features are:
  • Leather upholstery
  • Air conditioning with air quality system
  • Heated Windscreen
  • eco-Cruise control
  • Powered and heated front seats
  • Media player with USB, AUX in and blue-tooth
  • ABS,EBD, airbags
  • ARP(Anti Roll-over Protection)
Well the car is perfect for a joint family in India, or as a passenger taxi vehicle. Mahindra has not confirmed that they will launch Rodius in India. But there is plenty of potential in Indian market for Rodius.
