Tata nano is in tremendous sales crisis now. The car just sold about 1503 units in February 2013 compared to 9259 units in February 2012. Tata Nano is in a desperate situation. We have already announced that Tata is planning for a face-lift on Nano.
Here we have got some clear spy shots of the face-lifted Nano. The face-lift does not get massive changes, but some subtle changes are made to the car. Here are he changes made to the face-lifted variant.
Chrome stripping on the rear
New Honey comb grille on the rear
The glove box on top of the dashboard is standard
New stereo system
Two speakers integrated into the front dashboard.
We expect a few more changes as the car launches. Alloy wheels are not seen on this spied car. But we can expect the alloy wheels from the special edition to be standard on the face-lifted nano. We are not sure about mechanical changes too. The new honey comb grille on the rear may suggest something new to the car. May be a new 800 cc engine instead of the current 624 cc. We will have to wait until the launch of the car to know more specs.
We can expect the face-lifted Nano by June. Tata hopes to boost up the declined sales of Nano with the face-lift. The face-lifted nano will be followed by the nano CNG coming in August and the Nano diesel expected to launch at early 2014.
