Renault has officially revealed the production version of Captur SUV in Geneva motor show. The Captur SUV comes under the Urban SUV class same as Ford Ecosport. It would be nice if Renault introduce this vehicle to India to beat Ecosport.
The Renault Captur is based on the 4th gen Renault Clio, the SUV is 4120 mm long 1770 mm wide and 1570 mm tall. The Captur is not a sub 4m SUV so it will be pricey if launched in India(Renault may shorten the car for India). The SUV has 17 inch alloy wheels and an outstanding 200 mm of ground clearance too.
The Captur is an extra-ordinary looking vehicle for sure. The Captur has all the Renault trademarks which are combined with some funky bits which makes the SUV look amazing.
The steeply placed windscreen sill guards, wide tailgate and wraparound tail-lights. The interiors of Captur too looks blush. You can choose between various color combinations trims and seat upholsteries too on Captur.
The car is powered by a 0.9 l turbocharged petrol engine which produces 89 HP of power and a 1.5 l diesel engine which produces 90 HP of power.
So the Captur is a perfect SUV to merge with the Indian market. Captur can offer serous threat to Ford Ecosport and other upcoming SUVS under 10 lakhs price tag and Captur can easily beat them. But Captur is based on the small car Renault Clio. So we are not sure Renault will launch Captur in India.
