McLaren P1finnaly unveiled on Geneva

McLaren has officially unveiled their hyper car P1 production variant on Geneva motor show. Mclaren P1 is the successor of the famous McLaren F1. The concept variant was showcased back in Detroit and the production variant in Geneva. The P1 looks absolutely shocking from the stage and it attracted huge interest on the show.

The P1 uses a small capacity engine compared to La Ferrari and Lamborghini Veneno. The car is powered by a 3.8 l V8 twin turbo which produces 737 HP of power and 720 Nm of torque. the car has also got an additional electric motor which generates 179 HP of power and 260 Nm of torque. Ultimate output is 916 HP of power and 900 Nm of torque.

The P1 reaches 100 km under 3 seconds with the help of 916 HP. Top speed is 350 km/h. DRS (Drag reduction System) reduces the drag of the car by 23% when turned on. The drag co-efficient is just 0.34. The car just weights 1400 kg while the carbon fiber chassis weights under 100kg.

The price of the P1 is cheaper than the La Ferrari with 1.15 million USD, which about 6.28 crores of INR. Anyway Mclaren will only produce limited units of the P1 which is about 375 units. Most of them have been already booked, if you want a P1 book it quick before you get a out of stock message. McLaren manufactured the P1 not for beating a Bugatti Veyron, but just to give an exclusive product for interested buyers.
