It may seen funny, but it is true.BMW is building a car with motor cycle engine please don't laugh.BMW has been popular for creative thinking which may seem stupid , but that works well.

BMW i segment car the i3 will have the luck to bear a motorcycle engine. This engine will be given as an option to the new i3 city car coming this year.

The motor cycle engined i3 get light carbon fiber treatment with a motor cycle cylinder and a generator placed there.

The car will run from 97 to 145 km on a single electric charge. And the car will run to about 400 km using the motor cycle engine.

The trick is that motor cycle engine will not power the wheels directly. The generator which is connected to the engine recharges the battery and the car runs n the power of battery.

The i3 has some extremely funky design which is hard to even understand. The front has two grilles like two kidneys of a human. The small fog lamp slot connected to the mouth by gray paint jobs also adds to the funkiness. The paint jobs make the funkiness even more funky.

The most funky part is in the side with ultra thin b pillar and c pillar. The window line  zig zags at the rear door and creates almost a wraped around tunnel to the c pillar.

On the rear it is speeches to describe.I cant find the tail lamps at rear.I am not sure that orange gloss is tail lamp or paint job.

May be i3 is too funky and feels like a junky trashy car.if you have any other opinions use comment box.

The interiors also comes with a design you cant understand. There are two smart phone shaped screens, a hairpin like dashboard, and some small buttons here and there.

The i3 will be a ideal car for overcrowded cities of Europe.BMW targets urban daily commuters with this car, they can also use the petrol engine for long trips as well.

BMW expects 50 % share o sales  for the optional motorcycle engined i3 at the launch and about 20% share after some time.
