Nissan new Versa Note replace the Versa hatch

Nissan Versa Front

Nissan has stroked again with the new Versa note hatchback.The Versa note replaces the old small hatchback Versa.The Versa note is considerably more roomy and spacious than the old hatch.

The Versa Note will debut in US at august and worldwide on September.The Versa Note hatch is build on the same V platform as the Versa sedan.It shares the same dimensions as the Versa sedan.

 Exterior

The Versa note is entirely different from the old Versa hatch.It has been converted to a more elegant design than the sporty and funky old versa hatch.if you are Indian it would resemble to Suzuki A star(Alto worldwide). The nose is a bit more large now and the grille has attained a wing shape with fish like headlamps biting and holding it.The old blackened bumper has been replaced with a new large bumper with a tilted U air damp and round fog lamps.

Nissan Versa Rear

On the sides there are some slant lines and a parallelogram shaped windows.The there part windows make it resemble to a compact MPV.May be Nissan has a new MPV Versa under development.The new trendy alloys are also a part of the design.

The rear gets some fancy bits like a wordless to express tail lamps and a bulged in hatch.However they rear looks more funkier(awkward) than other parts due to the funky tail lamps and colored number plate and it doesn't contrast with the rest.Does it?

Interiors

Navigation System

The interiors get a new chocolate brown color scheme instead of the pale gray  colors in the old hatch.On the old Versa hatch the steering was thinner and the controls look like bird poop.The new Versa note has more chunky and grippy steering with neatly arranged mounted controls.The sets too get a new brown and gray fabrics and they look more supportive and well cushioned.The other parts like the central console and the rest of the dash has no changes.

Overall the interiors are more pleasing to look at than the old spartan interiors in the old hatch.What is your Opinion?

 

Comfort

The new versa note is enormously spacious than the oldie.When you step on to the rear it looks like the rear of a sedan.It is more luxurious to be inside the cabin.The car now offers plenty of headroom and legroom than the old one.

The new Versa note is more pricier which starts at $14770.The Versa is available on four level trims S S plus SV and SL.Only the S variant is equipped with a manual transmission.Other variants comes with a new efficient CVT(Continuously Variable transmission).

Fuel Economy

The CVT obtains 31 mpg of mileage at the city and 40 mpg at the highway and overall mileage of 35 mpg which is 5 mpg higher than the oldie.The Top variant gets a Nissan around view parking assist and a navigation system.

The Versa note is equipped with a panel at the  back which provides a flat floor when the rear seats are folded.

Nissan plans to boost up the sales of the Versa lineup with the new Versa Note.Will that tactics work.It is all to the readers choice now.

Indians Note

The old Versa is hatch same as the Nissan Micra in India.But the Micra is powered by a more smaller engine.Nissan may launch the Versa Note as the face lifted version of Micra in the coming years.If it comes with a CVT auto box it is going to be a huge hit.
