There is not too much on the face lift.But it can be recognized from the old one with the new grille with led lamps and fog lamps.At the back there is a wrap around tail lamps in the shape of a light bar.
The integrated LEDs on the rear view mirrors are tweaked to become more thinner.The new 17 inch and 18 inch alloys are also present.
The top variant gets six airbags dual zone air con audio visual navigation system and many more.
Two motors are available now too.The 2.4 l motor has no change in power figures.But the 2.0 l is tweaked.It is now called 2.0 l nu motor.The nu is the stretched version of the 1.8 l Dual CVVT on the Elantra.It makes 166 HP of power and 200 KG M of torque.
Although there are some exciting new features the price however has increased from RM 120000 to RM 145000 for the base variant. So we can expect a little hike of about 3 lakhs in the price in Indian model too.
So we hope that the new Sonata would come to India in a short while.The changes are likely to be the same as in the Malaysian model.We expect the 2.4 l 199 HP engine to be launched in India with the exterior changes specified above.
