Yes they are developing a new SUV called Tata X cross.We have got a render image of the Tata X cross.The SUV will challenge compact SUVs like Ford Eco sport and Renault Duster.Although this model will only debut in 2015 we have a render image of the new SUV Tata are developing in their Pune plant.The render was created by team ICB.

The Tata SUV has a monocoque construction, so it would be light and more efficient.The Tata X cross is developed under Vista platform.The Tata X-cross has a new design philosophy like on the Manza Hybrid at 2012 auto Expo.
The X cross has some muscular factors in it.At front there is a thin grille and headlamps connected together to look as the eagle wings instead of the large smiling grille on present Tata cars.
On the profile Tata SUV looks much similar to the Ford Eco sport expect for the Safari like rear windows. The SUV thing in the sides are the muscular wheel arches which are trendy.There is a thin waist line running parallel to the window line which merges with the rear tail lamps in a distinctive way.We don't know much about the rear part which is not designed completely.
The X cross comes with two turbocharged motors.But most of us will buy the 1.3 l turbocharged diesel engine which is already used on present Tata cars.The X cross will have a all wheel drive system as well.By the looks of it we can tell that it is some off roading potential in it.
