Hyundai planning a sedan version of the new i10

Hyundai is busy  making strong competitors in entry market in India.We heard that Hyundai is planning an i20 sedan but a sedan version for i10 as well.Hyundai is eying to beat Maruthi  Suzuki by increasing their line up.

The new i10 sedan will be based on the next gen i10 we spied test riding in India.So it will have the same aggressive looks of the next gen i10.The two part grill and  long headlamps look ambient enough.The i10 sedan really has the looks of a sedan it is not an ugly notch back like the current Swift Dz-ire.The conversion from hatchback to sedan at the rear is really handsome.The name of the sedan will be i15.

The i10 sedan will be priced between i10 and i20 respectively.So expect it to be priced between 4.5 and 6 lakhs.The new sedan will compete against upcoming Honda Brio ,Mahindra Verito, Tata Indigo CS and Swift Dz-ire.

The i10 sedan will be a sub 4 meter one to benefits from lower excise duties and it will be powered by the i.2l kappa petrol engine and the new diesel engine under development.The platform will be a stretched version of the i10 hatchback.So it will be more spacious.

We can expect both the i10's to hit India's shores by early 2014.
