New Wagonr face lift revealed

2013 Wagonr Facelift

Maruthi Wagon r is MSIL's(Maruthi Suzuki India limited) second best selling after the Alto.A few images of 2013 face lifted Wagonr was leaked through the TV add.Bit now it is officially revealed.
Fuel efficeincy has increased to 20.51 km/l>prices start from 3.58 lakhs(base variant) to 4.44 lakhs(CNG variant)

LXI variant 3.88 lakhs
VXI variant 4.12 lakhs

There is intense competition in the budget hatch segment. The Wagonr is facing strong competition from rivals like Hyundai i10, Tata vista and Ford Figo.MSIL did a major face lift on Wagonr in 2010 and now it gets some minor tweaks to retain its sales.

There are only some minor changes added to the 2013 Wagonr face lift.On the front the grill is more chunky, the air lamp is large and a new round fog lamps have been added. The fog lamps looks sleek and contrasts well with the design. The new mattle brown color blends well with the exterior design. We can expect some few other colors as well.

The are some few detailing on the sides of 2013 Wagonr as well. You get new alloy wheels for the VXi variant.

The interiors get a new beige and black treatment which is better than the previous colors. There are some metal finishes on door panels, on top of glove box, door handles, on the steering wheel and side air vents. The seat fabrics and colors are new as well. The audio system in the 'eagle wing' theme is available on the VXI variant.overall the interiors are more appealing than before.

But it would have been nice if MSIL gave the 2013 Wagonr a bit more fluidic treatment on the outside like in alto 800.Some may feel the Wagonr as a box or a wagon. If MSIL had considered this and tweaked the exteriors a bit it would have been cool.

There are no extra features available on the new 2013 Wagonr. And the prices remains the same from 3.5 to 4.56 lakhs.
