Maruthi will launch four new SUVS within 2015

Maruthi Suzuki largest car makers in India are planning to launch four new SUVs to the Indian market. All these SUVs will be launched by 2015.
The mini SUV segment is booming in India. Also Indians are showing tremendous love for SUVs.





The Renault Duster was a huge success in India and Renault managed to sell about 28000 Dusters in 7 months. An SUV rent has Rosen in India.

Many car manufactures are busy developing SUVs seeing the huge potential for SUVs in the coming years. While some are making just off rodder version of their hatchbacks others are busy making complete SUVs.

Maruthi Suzuki's first SUV to India will be the cross over version of the SX4. The same Chinese version SX 4 Cross over is expected to be taken to India as well. We can expect the car in India in 2014.

The next car will be the Maruthi Alpha which was showcased in the 2012 auto expo. The Alpha is more like a complete SUV with some modern designing tactics. The Alpha will be launched in 2015.


The next SUV is going to be the Sub 4 m Grand Vitara. Vitara is an SUV from Maruthi which costs about 15 lakhs. But its sales hardly moved. The car is selling about 1 to 2 units a month. Maruthi expect to reduce cost to 10 lakhs with the sub 4m variant of the Vitara and put it right in the hot spot of SUVs. Its main rival will be Renault Duster.New Vitara is expected on 2015.

Lastly Maruthi will launch the Cross over version of their best selling sedan Swift Dzire. The Swift Dzire cross over will be more like a bigger Swift hatchback with some off roding detailing. Its main rivals will be the upcoming Fiat Cross Punto, Volkswagen Cross Polo and Tata D90 Xtreme.   Expect it in Indian roads in 2015.



Maruthi's share of Indian market is slowly declining, Maruthi knowing this is plans to establish their presence to every areas including SUV segment. So they will get good cunk from the SUV segment and establish a strong presence in there.
