2014 Maruthi Suzuki Astar spy shots and launch

Maruthi Suzuki Astar was not up to Maruthi' s expectations. The sales chart of A star process it with the car selling just 500 units per month. The Astar is a stylish car powered by a K series engine. But it feels to tight inside and lacks space. Astar is known as Suzuki Alto/Celerio worldwide. We have already informed you that Suzuki will launch their next gen Astar in India at 2014. here we have got the first spy shots of the new 2014 Astar.

Fist look reveals that the new Astar has a tall boy deign model much like current Wagonr and Estilo.The car looks to be more bigger. So length breadth and wheel base will be increased to make the car more spacious. Space was one soul issue for the current gen Astar.

The new Astar will be redesigned to adjust with the increased dimensions. The lines and fenders will be redesigned and the car will have restyled headlamps and tail lamps too. The interiors will also be updated to enhance the premium feel. Some new technology and equipments will be added to the 2014 Astar.

So the next generation will be more spacious and will have an airy cabin making it an ideal family car. The new Astar will also have a diesel engine too along with the 1.0 l petrol. The current 1.0 l petrol makes 67 HP of power and 90 Nm of torque. Suzuki is working hard making a 800 cc turbo diesel engine for the upcoming Maruthi small cars..

Larger dimensions will result in sheet metal changes which corresponds to a slight price hike on the next gen Astar. Maruthi may not replace the current gen Astar with the new gen soon. Maruthi may sell new gen Astar parallel to the current gen Astar.

There is also a chance for the new gen Astar replacing the current gen Estilo which is a very bad and low selling car. Meanwhile Maruthi may face-lift the current gen Astar based on the Chinese version face-lift to make it updated to the time.

So new gen Astar as a replacement for Estilo selling along with the current one seems to be the most probable plan from Maruthi. As the current gen Astar looks good and has a modern and yound DNA residing in it.

Maruthi better replace the junk Estilo quickly. Its just trash.
