Mercedes Benz has announced that they will launch four vehicles in 2013 to Indian market. G63 AMG is already launched in India. So the remaining three vehicles will be launched in India by the end of 2013. This was revealed by Mr Eberhand Kern at the launch of Mercedes Benz G63 AMG. He also added of the upcoming three vehicles in 2013 one will be SUV and one will be a hatchback.
The next vehicle to be launched after G63 AMG will be Mercedes GL class SUV. We can expect the GL class SUV by May. GL class SUV will make up a strong rival for the big and luxurious Audi Q7.The car is expected to be powered by a 3.0 l V6 turbo diesel engine which produces 240 HP of power. The engine is mated to a 7 speed automatic system and 4-MATIC all wheel drive. The car will be exported by CBU route and assembled through CKD route.
Next up will be the diesel model of the B class sports tourer(large hatchback). The B class Sports tourer was launched in India last year. Currently only a petrol engine is available for the B class sports tourer. The petrol produces 120 HP of power and 200 Nm of torque. The turbo diesel engine will surely boost up sales figures of the B class and makes it a formidable rival against the Q3 and X1. We expect the Turbo diesel engine to be either 107 HP one or the 134 HP one.We can expect B class diesel somewhere in the mid 2013.
The A class hatchback will have both Turbo petrol and diesel engines. We can expect 1.6 petrol engine developing 121 and 154 HP of power. The diesels available will be the 1.6 producing 107 HP and the 1.8 l one producing 134 HP.Mercedes will try to heavily localize the production of A and B class t price them more competitively.
Force India will be manufacturing axle-parts for these cars .

It got sports seven airbags, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution force (EBD) and ASR. It also gets an audio player with 20 CD player, with 14.7cm screen.Although Mercedes-Benz B-Class Diesel doesn't have any direct competitor but BMW Mini is an alternative of it.
