Volkswagen launched a much more sportier variant of their Polo called the Polo SR. The launch function was held in New Delhi at 14th February 2013.
The Polo SR has a price of 6.28 lakhs. The main changes in the Polo SR is that it has an aero sports package. Volkswagen had tried to emphasize the bit old design of Polo to a whole new sportier level with this variant.

But the Polo SR gets the same 1.2 l engine which produces 75 HP and 110 NM as before. If Volkswagen really needed a sporty car for the Indian youth they could have launched a 1.6l 105 HP hot hatch instead. Volkswagen may launch the new 1.2 l TSI engine in a couple of months.

Polo looks more city-bred,urban and subtle which gives people a different kind of choice to drive something other than traditional hatchbacks.
