Chevrolet SS is a performance sedan
from Chevrolet. Now Chevrolet has launched the 2014 version of the SS
sedan which will be on sale by may 2013.
The new Chevrolet SS has an entirely
new engine. The new 6.2 l V6 engine will produce 415 HP of power and
562 Nm of torque. The sedan is mated with a 6 speed automatic
transmission with tap shift paddles. The Corvette stingray makes 450
HP of power which is 35 HP more than of the SS. The 415 HP helps SS
sedan to reach 100 km under 5 seconds.
The new SS sedan also gets a revamped
suspension. The new SS uses a McPherson strut at front and
independent multi link rear suspension at the rear. So expect the
suspension to get a really sporty and aggressive suspension setup.
The 2014 Chevrolet SS gets brembo brakes with 355 mm ventilated disc
brakes all around. The new SS sedan gets a electric steering instead
of a conventional hydraulic unit which increases efficiency but lacks
feel.
The new SS sedan has a far more larger
19 * 8.5 inch front wheels with 245/40 ZR19 tires on the front and
the rear gets 275/35 ZR 19 Bridge-stone tires. The bonnet of the car
is finished in aluminum which helps the car to shed off crucial
amount of kerb weight.
The sedan is a rear wheel drive one.
Still it has decent amount of space on the inside. The seats can
carry five people with full luxury. The car has 42 inch of legroom at
front and 39 inch legroom in the rear. The car hosts some new
features as well like:
- Leather Upholstery
- Eight way powered bucket seats
- ice blue ambient lighting
- Bose audio system with nine speakers
- Push button start
- Color heads display
