Renault Duster facelift spied in Romaina

We recently spotted a Renault/Dacia Duster face lifted version test driving in Worcester, Romania. The SUV was test driving freely in the snowy town without any covers seen on other spied cars.

The car spied was a 1.5 l diesel with all wheel drive. The new Duster hasn't got any changes on the outside expect for the headlamps which are carried from the FWD duster.

Major changes could be there in the interiors and new equipments will be added as well. Here are some new equipments we spotted:

•  New Speed Limiter
• Cruise Control System
• ECO mode

The audio system and the screen is the exact same.  The Duster will get a new dashboard and controls layout similar to the Logan. At dashboard has not been tweaked in the spied version. But we expect the dashboard to be tweaked and made similar tot he Brazilian Duster.

May be the car will get some exterior tweaks as well. We think the upgrade is not completed in the spied version. The upgraded Duster will be displayed in Geneva Motor Show. Till then lets patiently wait for full specs about the update.

Renault must launch the updated Duster in India to fight with the new entrant Ford Ecosport. Serous changes should be done to interiors and controls. There are many problems with the current Duster in India. The power window switches are under the hand brake lever and the steering mounted controls are beneath the steering wheel. We can expect steering controls mounted on the left side and power window controls on the right window in the face lifted version arriving in India.

So Renault will be readying Duster to survive and attack Ford Ecosport.
