Nissan will launch three new models
this year. They are the Nissan Micra automatic, Nissan Sunny
automatic and Nissan duster based SUV, Nissan has been in a bit
tired in Indian market. So Nissan expects these new variants to boost
up the sales. Nissan is one of the automotive giants of the world and
by 2016 Nissan will launch ten new models in India to strengthen the
base.
Nissan Micra Automatic
First on to Indian shores will be the
new Nissan Micra automatic. Automatics just sell 5% of India's annual
car sales. But now urban people are intently going towards new gen
automatic cars with more fuel efficiency. The love for automatic has
rides in Indians as the latest auto boxes are more responsive and
easy to drive in the city.

The automatic Micra uses a Nissan's
new CVT gearbox which provides good mileage and performance figures.
The automatic Micra will compete against Hyundai i10 AT, Honda Brio
AT, Maruthi Swift AT and Maruthi Ritz AT.

Renault duster has been a huge it in
Indian market. Although a five seater the Duster was taken into the
hearts of Indians and was selling about 5000 units for month.
Inspired by the success of the duster Nissan will launch re badged
version of Renault Duster. The name is not decided yet. The car will
share the same platform and mechanicals with the Duster but it will
get some major tweaks to the exteriors and cabin as well.
Nissan is also planing to introduce
their low cost brand Datsun in India too. Nissan will launch two new cars under Datsun brand. Both of them would be under five lakhs. They are based on the old versions of Micra.
The first one is codenamed K12 and with a price tag of 3 lakhs. It would compete directly with Maruthi Suzuki Alto. The next car is code named K11 with a price tag of 5 lakhs will compete against rivals like Maruthi Arragon and Hyundai i10.
Nissan aims to attain 10% development by 2016. They will also come with some other Datsun cars as well.
