Tata nano sedan for India Not a joke

-->
This is not a big joke. Tata is planning to launch a sedan version of the nano in India. The nano sedan will use a 1 l engine instead for the current 0.6 l engine. Tata have to convert nano into a sedan and stiffen its chassis to support the big 1 l engine.

We have got a rendered image of the nano sedan which looks funky enough. The sedan gets the same styling of the nano hatchback and has a boot stubbed on from some other car. Everyone will surely laugh seeing nano sedan. It is funny but not awkward to look at. The sedan will be under 4 m of length.

Driven by the success of Swift Dz-ire and other notch backs Tata will make the nano sedan ready on 2014. nano has a rear wheel drive layout. So the sedan should also have the same layout. It will be hard to place the 1 l engine on the boot of the sedan. So Tata may use a front wheel drive layout instead.

If Tata succeeds to develop this sedan this will be the cheapest sedan on Indian roads. Lets hope Tata does it.

Gossips are spreading like Malaria about Diesel nano and other versions of nano. The CNG nano will launch in march and that is confirmed. We don't now much about the launch date of the diesel nano. It won't be selling in near future. There are rumor that Tata is planning to use an 800cc engine on the upcoming nano. But it will be hard to occupy the 800 cc engine on small nano's tail.

Is nano Sedan a good option to boost nano sails? Post your opinions in the comment box. We need your remarks.

Tata Nano Features said...

According to me its a cutest little car ever, with room for four adults, and with adequate power for Indian city roads.But it needs some more features to hit in the Western market and Nano sedan idea looks totally absurd.
