India is the best country for international companies to manufacturer their products. You get raw materials and labor for a cheap price without any restrictions by the government. This export duty is also considerably low.
Ford Ecosport is almost inching launch in India.(launch date in April 2013) Meanwhile Ford middle east reported that they will produce Ecosport for middle east. The compact SUV will be produced in Ford plant in Chennai and exported to middle east.
Ford has shown great improvement in middle east car market in recent years. Ford also has a low cost brand Lincoln which too showed impressive growth in sales. So Ford is becoming a top car maker in the oil land.
So it increase its line up Ford has to add some more new cars to the middle east. market. We don't know the exact plans for the middle east. Ford will launch Ecosport in the oil land along with some new exciting models like Ford Focus ST, Escape, and the all new Lincolns special car for middle east the MKZ.
Ford Ecosport is a vehicle that has huge relevance in the middle east. As the middle east nations have desert and semi-desert terrains Ecosport will be an ideal SUV for them. The enthusiasts of middle east will love Ecosport and they will be waiting to sling the SUV through the deserts. Eco sport will have a slight make over to suit the Desert terrain of the middle east.
Ford will be launching just the 1.0 l Eco-boost petrol engine in the middle east. The Diesel, may be afterwards. We are not sure whether Ford will keep the middle east version Ecosport under 4 m or not, most probably it will be above 4m as there are no benefits for sub 4m vehicles in middle eastern countries.
Ford has some huge plans for Ford Ecosport. Ford is planning to globalize the Eco Sport worldwide. Currently Eco port is available in Brilliant Indian and Chinese markets. From the Brazilian market Ford will export Ecosport to other South American countries. In China Ecosport will be produced for local uses only. So it will be from India that Ford will export the SUV to the rest of the world.
May be Ford will be the largest exporter in India in future.
