Tata Motors desperately needs some passenger cars to be alive. Tata recent launches like Indica D90 wasn't a shocker in the market. Most of the Tata cars like Vista and Indica are getting really old. They are build on a 10 year old platform with bellow 21 st century designing.
Today Car market in India is dominated by Japanese and European models which are way more stylish than the prehistoric Tata Cars. Tata barely sells some cars that too not for people for Taxis. If this goes Tata passenger vehicles dept will be in debt soon. The nano sales decrypted to just 1500 units which was a bad hit for Tata.
Economic Times reported that Tata is planning a new hatchback, and it could be an ideal replacement for the Indica. The new hatch will get a fresh and more modern design sharing some language with the current Indica. The car will be slotted just under Indica Vista and some times may replace the Indica EV2 or ECS. The cheap platform and some tricks in designing will help the hatch to be priced competitively
The hatch is codenamed X0. We expect it to be available in some new engines like the 1.2l turbocharged petrol and the 1.05 l diesel engine. Few more powerful engines will also be available to feed the hunger of youth.
The hatchback will be fighting in a flooded battleground. Tata X0 s main rivals will be Hyundai i10, Maruthi Wagonr and Honda Brio. Competitive pricing and spacious cabin will be the key strengths of the X0.
Tata will also launch a compact sedan and SUV called X cross based on the X0. The X0 will make its on to the debut in market in 2015 .
it would have been nice if Tata designed the X0 with a completely different and modern design philosophy. Building a new car from scrap is of no use as the new car will also be scrap soon. Tata should change that platform which is almost 2 decades old, they said that it is not the platform that is getting old it is the design. Anyway we can give best of luck for Tata for developing a stylish modern premium hatch.

Its prices are in people's reach.Tata Indica Vista is a perfect hatchback which is spacious and looks great.People just love Tata's car.They have blind trust in its efficiency and performance.
But it has a very bland design so it is time for a face-lift
